Portrait of Genesis

Published by under 365

The Daily Shoot: Make a portrait of somebody today. It can be somebody you know or a stranger. Maybe even yourself. I caught Genesis in a quiet moment right before she and her mom headed off to swim. I love the tree reflections in her hair band. Temps of 100 are predicted today! Swimming will […]

Sidewalk off the square

Published by under 365

The Daily Shoot: Pavement comes in many flavors. Asphalt. Concrete. Bricks. Stones. Make a photo of some pavement you see today. These sidewalks are in front of numerous quaint little shops in downtown McDonough.

In and out of the car

Published by under 365

The Daily Shoot: The world is always in motion. Make a photo that conveys a bit of your own motion to your viewer. I’m getting out of the car in this photo – one of the many “ins and outs” that transpire during the day.

Six hibiscuses

Published by under 365,Uncategorized

Red anniversary rose

Published by under 365

John gave me a dozen red roses on my anniversary last Friday and I have been photographing them every since. I am amazed at their beauty and it’s fun experimenting with different ways to compose the shots. If you like viewing flowers I’ve started a set on Flickr at www.flickr.com/photos/anned/sets/72157624167358681/

Baked Alaska – Oh My!

Published by under 365

We had a delayed anniversary dinner tonight with a couple we’ve known since before we got married. It was delightful. We ate at the Petite Auberge Restaurant. This French Restaurant has been in existence for 30 years and is tucked away in a little shopping center in Atlanta. John and I had Chateaubriand for Two. […]

Anniversary Celebration to Remember!

Published by under 365

Today is our anniversary! This frame was made by my daughter, Laura, and granddaughter, Genesis, for our 44th anniversary! They took us to Daytona Beach for the weekend. We were having dinner at Bubba Gump’s restaurant after a full day in the sun, sand, and surf! John and I look a little bedraggled but not […]

The sky before a storm

Published by under 365

The sky fascinates me. This is a view before a predicted storm. Each night I look up and I am astounded by the different views.
