Genesis’s perspective

Published by at 9:12 pm under 365

Genesis and I were out again taking pictures wherever opportunities presented themselves. These lovely yellow flowers were located in front of a local bank and were in full bloom – lots of them. She is able to get some unique perspectives that unfortunately I cannot squeeze into quite as easily as she does. Look at her face – this is important work! I have to admit that many times she catches shots that are much better than mine! :-)

What a wonderful activity to share with your granddaughter. She certainly looks like she takes it quite seriously.

Hi Fr. Jerry,I’ve felt God in my life before. When I was 15 years old I tried to climb up the clfifs at the clam (near La Jolla Cove) and I got stuck about 25 feet up. It was too steep to climb down and I could not see any hand/foot holds in the sandstone anyway nor going up. I started to get really scared because I glanced down to see if I could make it if I fell or jumped and I saw a lot of jagged boulders. I asked God for help as I started weakening. All of a sudden I found strength flowing into my body and a hand hold appeared above me that I did not see before as I was frantically looking for one.I climbed up the 25 feet to the top easily and knew that God had a purpose for me. I did not know what is was (and I’m still not sure) but I’ve raised two boys and four step children so far.I try to thank God every day.
