Jilaine and Genesis are having a little “feet to feet fun” on the front porch.

There’s something intriguing about this sky that gives me some peace today. I lost a dear brother-in-law this morning and I don’t know exactly why but this sky helps me have hope. He will be missed…

The Daily Shoot: Make a photograph of one of the least expensive things that you cherish. Genesis gave this keyring to me! It puts a smile on my face each time I start the car.

Now Genesis is posing “mid-air” for my shots!

This pinecone was nestled in the grass in my front yard. I find them interesting to photograph.

Harley is six months old now and just as frisky as ever! This is a good shot of him but I still haven’t captured what is so very special about him. I will persevere though.

The Lewis-Vaughn Botanical Garden is located in Olde Town Conyers. It has plants, a fountain, and a stream with goldfish and pond bloomers. It’s a pretty little area where you can just enjoy nature in the midst of several local businesses. Look closely or choose a larger size to view to see several goldfish!

These pretty pink flowers that remind me of ribbons are blooming again! It’s so nice to have them return!

I wandered around Arabia Mountain today and came upon this gorgeous Blue Monarch butterfly. He was very patient as I tried to get close to him for a shot. When I looked this fellow up on the web, I learned they are known for their determination to survive even though they are so very fragile.

Genesis has completed several levels in her swimming lessons. Today they jumped off the diving board and swam the length of the pool several times. She did great! One more week of lessons and then we’ll see if she wants to join the swim team in November.
