John gave me a dozen red roses on my anniversary last Friday and I have been photographing them every since. I am amazed at their beauty and it’s fun experimenting with different ways to compose the shots. I saw these in my garden and couldn’t resist. Three buds and a rose…..how much better can it get?

I took this picture of a rose in my garden this morning and spent some time playing around with the artistic effects in Photoshop. This is a watercolor.

My husband brought a gorgeous bouquet of roses home today from the Farmer’s Market. I’ll enjoy photographing them so more. They are so lovely.

In celebration of  Mother’s Day at church today every mother received a single rose. I received this delicate and beautiful yellow one laced with pink highlights on the edges.
