The Canon EOS Rebel T1i Multimedia Workshop is an excellent resource. It consists of two videos and a short book. It is clear, concise and not as overwhelming as a lot of other resources are for beginners.

One DVD covers specific camera features and functions.

The second DVD is all about taking great pictures. It shows you how to compose pictures, choose the best picture quality settings, how to use the flash, and more.

The book zeroes in on how to take great digital photos and covers basics without overwhelming you.

The book has four chapters:
